Sorbitol
Sorbitol is a mono sugar alcohol made after enzymolysis and refined processing of starch into glucose, hydrogenation reduction, refinement and crystallization with the function of catalyst. Sorbitol crystal has four crystal forms—α, β, γ and δ. Huakang produces γ-crystal form, which owns the best stability, high melting point, excellent humidity resistance and a special nature of direct compression. At present, it has been widely used in chewing gum and tablet candy.
